What Your Agent Does In Google Drive
-
Find Files And The Answers Inside
Describe what you need, like last year’s lease or the price in the Ortega quote. Your agent finds the file, reads it and gives you the answer with a link to the file.
-
Sort And Rename Loose Files
Your agent reads the files piling up in My Drive or a scans folder, gives each one a clear name and moves it into the right client or project folder.
-
Check Who Can Open What
Ask which files are open to anyone with the link or shared outside the company. Your agent lists them by folder and switches the ones you pick back to restricted.
-
Free Up Space Safely
Your agent finds duplicate copies, big old videos and forgotten backups using up storage. It lists them with sizes, and nothing goes in the trash until you say so.
Ask In Your Own Words
Type it in any project chat, or send it from your phone. Your agent works in Google Drive for you, with your own login, and reports back in the thread.
- Where’s the signed lease for the Main Street shop? And when does it end?
- Tom dumped a pile of receipts in Uploads. Rename them by date and vendor and file them.
- Does Sarah’s old agency still have access to our brand folder?
- Google says my storage is almost full. What’s taking up all the room?
- What did we quote Mike for the kitchen job? It’s somewhere in Drive.

Questions About Google Drive And Your Agents
Which files can the agent open?
The one that owns or can open the files you want help with. On a company account that includes the shared drives you belong to. Connect an account with less access if you want the agent to see less.
Will it delete my duplicates?
Not without asking. It lists the copies side by side with dates and sizes. When you approve, it moves them to the trash, where Google keeps them for 30 days before they’re gone for good.
Can it read scanned PDFs and photos?
Yes. It opens the file the way you would and reads the text, including scans and photos of receipts. A very blurry scan may still need a person to look at it.
Does my agent see my Google Drive password?
No. Your Google Drive login stays in your Vault, a safe your agents can use but never read. You can remove an agent’s access, or disconnect Google Drive, at any time in Settings.
