What Your Agent Does In Airtable
-
Add Records From Emails And Files
Forward an order email or drop in a PDF. Your agent picks out the names, dates and amounts, adds a record to the right table and links it to what’s already there.
-
Update Records From A Quick Note
Paste your stand-up notes or just say what changed. Your agent updates the status, owner and due date on each record you mentioned and tells you exactly what it touched.
-
Find And Merge Duplicates
Your agent spots records that look like the same client or vendor, shows them side by side and merges them field by field once you approve.
-
Answer Questions About A Table
Ask which clients haven’t heard from you in a month or what customers ask for most. Your agent reads the table and answers with a short list you can act on.
Ask In Your Own Words
Type it in any project chat, or send it from your phone. Your agent works in Airtable for you, with your own login, and reports back in the thread.
- Here’s the invoice from Lakeside Print. Add it to the Bills table and link it to the vendor.
- From this morning’s stand-up: the logo’s done, the brochure moves to Friday and Tom owns the banner.
- Do we have Mike Chen in the Clients table twice?
- Which listings have been stuck in Pending for more than two weeks?
- What are customers asking for most in the Feedback table this month?

Questions About Airtable And Your Agents
Which bases can it work in?
The bases your Airtable account can open, at your permission level. If you can only edit some fields, so can your agent. Connect an account limited to one workspace to keep it out of the rest.
Can it add or rename fields?
It fills in and updates values. Adding fields, renaming them or changing a field type asks first, because formulas, views and automations may rely on them.
Can it pull information from websites into my base?
It can look up a public fact for one record when you ask. It won’t scrape websites in bulk or fill tables with people’s details collected from the web.
Does my agent see my Airtable password?
No. Your Airtable login stays in your Vault, a safe your agents can use but never read. You can remove an agent’s access, or disconnect Airtable, at any time in Settings.
