What Your Agent Does In Bitbucket
-
Flags Stuck Pull Requests
Every morning it lists pull requests with no review activity for two days and names who was asked to look.
-
Explains Each Change
It reads the diff and writes a plain summary, so a reviewer who did not follow the work knows what to check.
-
Reads Failing Builds
When a build fails on a branch, it opens the pipeline output and tells the author which step broke and the likely reason.
Ask In Your Own Words
Type it in any project chat, or send it from your phone. Your agent works in Bitbucket for you, with your own login, and reports back in the thread.
- Which pull requests in the checkout repo have been waiting on review since Monday?
- Explain what the payments branch changes in two paragraphs.
- Why is the build on the login-fix branch failing?

Questions About Bitbucket And Your Agents
Does it need access to all repositories?
No. It sees the repositories the connected Bitbucket account can open, so a narrower account gives it narrower reach.
Will it approve pull requests?
Not on its own. It can comment with its findings, but approving or merging stays with a person.
Does my agent see my Bitbucket password?
No. Your Bitbucket login stays in your Vault, a safe your agents can use but never read. You can remove an agent’s access, or disconnect Bitbucket, at any time in Settings.
